November Updates!
What has being going on during this month: proyects, personal improvement and trying to find what to lives for.
One skill I have recently “mastered”
So, if you read last month’s predictions about what I was going to write about this month, it was going to be about handwriting. That is a super-important skill to master, and even when I have invested some time into it, I don’t think it should be the main focus of this section. The one skill I’m truly proud of (if you can call it a skill) is deleting all my socials. So dumb right? Just a few clicks and it’s done? It’s not that simple, and it requires a change in mentality. And if you’re also struggling to find time to be productive, I also encourage you to try it.
The book that has pleasantly surprised me
Alright, let’s be honest: I haven’t read anything worth it this month. Everything I read was pure enjoyment but doesn’t mean anything more than that. If you want to know it, I read ‘The Wise Man’s Fear’, which is, without a doubt, the best fiction piece of literature (yeah, better than the Lord of the Rings, I’ve said it).
But, that doesn’t mean I don’t have some content that you should watch. My must from this month:
Whiplash: a movie about obsession pushed to the human limits that will leave you feeling wanting to change the world.
Dahmer: What’s to be said about this show that hasn’t already been said?
Brene Brown x Simon Sinek on Infinite Mindsets: Mainly talking about business, but it can be applied to anything in life.
Impact Theory, Tom Bilyeu and Vusi Thembekwayo: #191 Is your self-identity limiting your potential?
What have I been doing in TKS
So, second Newsletter, third month in TKS, but I still struggle to define what this is. So, the best definition that someone has given me is: ‘TKS is a human accelerator that takes high-schoolers to an Olimpic Level of Innovation’. If you understood that sentence the first time you read it, congrats! (That, or you come from TKS itself).
This month I felt that more changes were made since I decided to take TKS more of a priority and less of an activity. This month I went deep into robotics, and I should have the learn article finished by this Thursday. In more of a group project, we worked on a challenge with CIBC, about how to attract gen-z towards this bank. Interesting, and time-consuming, but I’ll do it again without a doubt.
The one thing that I’m proud of the most is making a demo in Figma to show how would it work the e-wallet we were proposing. The learning curve wasn’t that steep, which pleasantly surprised me, so you could expect an article about it sometime soon :)
Nevertheless, personally, this month was more of a 1-month free trial. I have been working a lot on myself, in finding a schedule that’s sustainable and how to balance all the aspects of what makes a healthy life. Hope you can get in this path too, and if you have, hit me up! I’m willing to talk anytime.
